I am coming from Kerala, one of the southern most states of India. My place is blessed with scenic
beauty. I was born in a village called Arthinkal in the central district of Alleppey. Alleppey is called the
Venice of the east because of its canals. Its one of the first planned cities in the state with a port. The
place is also famous for the boat race. The main race is between snake boats sponsored by different
villages and its indeed a pleasure to witness the famous Nehru Cup boat race. It was started in honor
of the late prime minister of India and architect of Modern India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
My place is very near to Cochin the Queen of Arabian Sea. It's famous for its Jewish
synagogues, beaches, backwaters etc. One of the main attractions is the chinese nets seen in the
backwaters of Cochin. You will simply love it.
The place I work (Trivandrum) is the capital of the state. The beaches are attracting a lot of tourists.
It has beaches, hill resorts and tourist villages. The Kovalam beach is one of the most beautiful
places you can ever see. Trivandrum was once part of the Travancore empire and it has the famous
Sree
Padmanabha Temple. You should one day visit this place.
